I decided to try humic products because of a show I watched about the rainforest being turned into farmland and what the old timers did to make it grow. I thought, “If they could do that with a rainforest, why can’t I do that with my farmland too?” After looking into it more, I found some products that would do the same things, so we put together a plan and got started.

My goal was to make all my farmland grow a good crop, not just part of it.

One year later, my “poor land” has started growing a better crop, and production on my “better land” has improved with lower input costs. I have also noticed that the water isn’t laying on the land anymore—it’s absorbing into the soil now. Water pooling on parts of my land used to be a problem, but not anymore. Also, the soil is not as hard as it used to be, making it easier to pull machines through it and work the fields.

The products I’ve used work so well that this fall we decided to apply them to every acre.

I tried some humic products to see if I could help my poorer land produce rather than burning out my better ground by trying to over produce it with more inputs. I noticed positive results with humic, so I decided to do more this fall on almost every acre.
